One of the founders of Austral and the CEO of Austral Seguradora since its founding, Carlos Frederico holds a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) and graduate degrees from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio) and the COPPEAD Graduate School of Business at the UFRJ. Having also founded Áurea and Fator Seguradora, he has more than 25 years of experience in the insurance industry.
Bruno Freire

Bruno is one of the founders of Austral and has been the CEO of Austral Re since its inception. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio), and he has over 20 years of experience in reinsurance, including time spent at Aon.
Rodolfo Rodriguez
Director, Risk and Compliance
Rodolfo has 15 years of experience in financial institutions and has been with Austral since 2013. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of São Paulo, a graduate degree in Economics from the Fundação Getulio Vargas, and a Master’s of Business Administration from INSEAD.
